1.Identification of the Provider
The website soniaoracle.com, the application app.soniaoracle.com and the services provided through them (together, the "Service" or the "Platform") are owned and operated by:
- Provider: Onyx Shell LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America (the "Provider").
- Registered in: State of Florida, United States of America.
- Contact email: soporte@soniaoracle.com.
- Email for legal notices: legal@soniaoracle.com.
2.Official domains and channels
The Provider’s official domains are the following, together with their subdomains:
- soniaoracle.com, through which the Service is provided, including the application app.soniaoracle.com.
- soniaoracle.net.
- soniaoraculo.com.
Domains other than soniaoracle.com redirect to it or are reserved by the Provider. The Provider’s communications are sent only from email addresses on the soniaoracle.com domain, and the Provider will never ask the User for their password, verification codes or card details by email, message or telephone.
Any other site, application, profile or communication that uses the name, brand or look of Sonia Oracle without being linked to these domains does not belong to the Provider, which is not responsible for it. Anyone who detects fraudulent use may report it to legal@soniaoracle.com.
3.Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern access to, browsing and use of the Platform, and the purchase of the paid services offered on it, by any person who accesses it (the "User").
The Terms are supplemented by the Privacy policy, the Cookie policy and the Security policy, which form an integral part of them, and by any specific conditions shown to the User before purchasing a particular service. In the event of conflict, the specific conditions prevail over these Terms.
4.Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms, in the singular or plural, have the meanings set out below:
- Account: the personal, individual and non-transferable registration of a single adult natural person, giving access to their private space within the Platform.
- Reference profile: a record the User creates within their Account with the data of a third person or a pet, for the sole purpose of requesting Readings about them. It does not allow that person to access or use the Service.
- Reading: any interpretation generated by the Service at the User’s request, including, without limitation, tarot spreads, birth charts, numerology analyses, I Ching consultations, dream interpretation, cycles, compatibility readings (Nexus), guided sessions and meditations.
- Sonia: a fictional character created by the Provider who acts as the conversational guide of the Service and runs on artificial intelligence systems. Sonia is not a natural person.
- Runes: digital units for use exclusively within the Platform, which the User spends to access paid Readings.
- Pass: a temporary right of access (one day, thirty days or three hundred and sixty-five days) to certain features of the personal space, purchased with a one-time payment.
- User Content: all information the User provides to the Service, including questions, conversations, profile data, notes, dreams and the data in reference profiles.
- Reading System: the set of methods, spread catalogues, interpretations, instructions, texts and criteria developed by the Provider that structure the generation of Readings.
- Territory: the countries and regions where the Service is available under the Territorial availability clause.
- Consumer: a User acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
5.Acceptance and capacity to contract
Registration on the Platform requires express acceptance of these Terms by ticking the box provided, and confirmation that the Privacy policy has been read. Mere access to public areas of the Platform, such as the Library, likewise implies acceptance of the Terms insofar as they apply.
The User represents that they have the legal capacity to be bound by these Terms. If the User does not agree with them, they must refrain from using the Service.
The Provider keeps an electronic copy of the version of the Terms in force at any time, which the User can access on this page.
6.Nature of the Service and exclusion of professional advice
The Service offers Readings based on symbolic traditions (tarot, Western, Vedic, Chinese and other schools of astrology, numerology, the I Ching and other practices), intended for the User’s reflection, self-knowledge and entertainment. It includes a free, openly accessible Library and paid Readings within the personal space.
Readings are symbolic in nature and provided for entertainment and personal guidance. The Provider does not claim supernatural powers or any ability to know, predict or alter future events, and does not offer rituals, cleansings, spells or work intended to influence third parties.
Readings neither constitute nor replace the advice, diagnosis or treatment of medical, psychological, legal, financial or any other professionals. The User undertakes not to make, or refrain from making, health, legal, financial or safety decisions based solely on a Reading.
If the User is in crisis, has thoughts of self-harm or their safety is at risk, they must immediately contact the emergency services in their country (911 in most countries of the Americas) or a specialist helpline; in the United States, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available by call or text.
Certain experiences, such as the Dark Oracle, deliberately use direct and raw language. Their use requires prior acceptance of a specific notice and is in all cases voluntary.
7.Minimum age and protection of minors
The Service is intended exclusively for persons aged eighteen (18) or over, or the age of majority in their country of residence if higher. The minimum age applies to the creation of Accounts and the use of the personal space. By registering, the User represents that they meet this requirement.
The Provider does not direct the Service at minors, and minors may not use it, either with their own Account or through another person’s Account. Where the Provider knows or has reasonable grounds to believe that an Account belongs to or is used by a minor, it may require proof of age and, failing that, suspend and delete the Account. Parents or guardians who become aware that a minor has provided data may report it to legal@soniaoracle.com.
Misrepresenting one’s age to circumvent this requirement is a serious breach of these Terms, under the Accuracy of data provided clause.
Minors may only appear in the Service as reference profiles created by their parent or legal guardian, as set out in the Reference profiles clause.
8.Registration, Account and credentials
8.1Registration
Registration may be completed with an email address and password or with a Google account. To create an Account, only an email address, a date of birth (to confirm the User is an adult and to calculate Readings) and the name the User wishes to be identified by, which may be a pseudonym, are required. All other data is optional and is requested only when a Reading needs it, as detailed in the Privacy policy.
8.2Individual nature
Each Account belongs to a single person, who is the only person authorised to use it. Sharing the Account or allowing third parties, in particular minors, to use it is prohibited. Anyone who wishes to use the Service must create their own Account; for joint consultations, the Service offers invitations to compatibility readings (Nexus).
8.3User obligations
- Provide truthful information about their date of birth and the data provided for Readings, being solely responsible for the consequences of any inaccurate data.
- Diligently safeguard their credentials, which are personal and non-transferable.
- Notify soporte@soniaoracle.com without delay of any unauthorised use of their Account or security breach they become aware of.
The User is responsible for all activity carried out from their Account, unless due to causes attributable to the Provider. The Service offers additional protection measures, such as sign-in verification, described in the Security policy.
9.Reference profiles
9.1Purpose
The User may create reference profiles for their partner, relatives, friends or other people close to them, as well as their pets, for the sole purpose of requesting Readings about them (for example, the birth chart of a newborn or compatibility with a partner). Reference profiles do not grant access to the Service: the person concerned cannot sign in, talk to Sonia or take any action.
9.2Permitted data
A reference profile may only contain the data needed to calculate Readings:
- Full birth name and, where applicable, another or current name, without stating the reason for the change.
- Date of birth and, optionally, time and place of birth (city and country).
- Sex, optionally, where a tradition uses it in its calculations.
- Relationship to the User and nicknames, so that Sonia can recognise the person in conversation.
- For pets: name, species, breed and date of birth.
9.3Data not permitted
The User shall not include in reference profiles, including free-text notes, data about the person’s health, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, ethnic origin or criminal record, nor third parties’ photographs, identity documents, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses.
9.4Adults
The User warrants that they have the consent of the adult whose data they add, or another lawful basis for its processing, and undertakes to inform that person. Using reference profiles to monitor, profile, harass or control another person without their knowledge, such as a former partner, is prohibited.
9.5Minors
Only a minor’s parent or legal guardian may create the minor’s reference profile, in the exercise of their parental authority or guardianship. The profile shall contain only permitted data, and the minor may not use the Service.
9.6Rights of the people included
Anyone included in a reference profile may ask the Provider, at legal@soniaoracle.com, for information about their data or for its deletion, which will be handled even if they are not a User of the Service. On reaching the age of majority, anyone included in a profile created while they were a minor may likewise request its deletion.
10.Accuracy of data provided
Readings are calculated from the data the User provides. The Provider does not verify its accuracy and is not liable for calculations, results or interpretations that are incorrect, incomplete or inappropriate because false, inaccurate or incomplete data was provided, such as the date, time or place of birth, or names.
The User is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide. Readings made with false or inaccurate data do not entitle the User to a refund of the Runes spent, without prejudice to the rights granted to Consumers by applicable law.
In particular, falsifying the date of birth or any other data to circumvent the minimum age is a serious breach of these Terms that entitles the Provider to terminate the Account immediately. The Provider accepts no liability for use of the Service in breach of this prohibition, without prejudice to applicable law.
11.Runes, Passes and gift cards
11.1Nature of Runes
Runes are digital units that entitle the User to access Readings within the Platform. They are not electronic money, a means of payment or a financial instrument, do not bear interest and cannot be exchanged for money except in the refund cases provided for in these Terms or by applicable law. The Rune price of each Reading is shown before it is requested.
11.2Validity and reinstatement
- Runes do not expire while the Account remains active.
- All Runes have the same value, whether purchased, received as a gift or earned by inviting other users.
- If a Reading is charged but not generated, the Service automatically reinstates the Runes to the User’s balance.
- Deletion of the Account entails the loss of any remaining Runes, without prejudice to the right to a refund of unused Runes under the refunds clause.
11.3Pass
The Pass grants access to features of the personal space for the purchased period. It is acquired by one-time payment, by card or with Runes, and does not renew automatically.
11.4Gift cards and referral programme
Gift cards allow Runes to be transferred to another person, who redeems them in their Account with the corresponding code. If the card shows an expiry date, it may only be redeemed until that date. The code is a bearer instrument, so its safekeeping is the responsibility of whoever holds it. The Provider may award bonus Runes for inviting new users under the conditions it publishes from time to time.
The Provider may change the Rune price of Readings and the packs on offer. Such changes do not affect purchases already made.
12.Prices, payment and invoicing
Payments are processed by Stripe, a payment service provider certified to PCI DSS Level 1, on a secure checkout page. The Provider neither accesses nor stores the User’s full card number.
Prices are stated in US dollars (USD) and shown to the User before payment is confirmed. Any currency conversion fees and taxes charged by the card issuer or under the law of the User’s country are borne by the User, unless stated as included. The Service only accepts one-time payments: there are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
Once payment is confirmed, the Runes, Pass or gift card are credited to the User’s Account and the transaction is recorded in their transaction history. The User may request the corresponding receipt at soporte@soniaoracle.com.
13.Refunds, right of withdrawal and complaints
13.1Refund cases
The Provider will refund the User, upon request, in the following cases:
- Duplicate or incorrect charges resulting from a technical error: full refund.
- Charges not authorised by the holder of the payment method: full refund, together with measures to protect the Account.
- Rune packs: within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase, a full refund if no Runes from the pack have been used, or a pro-rata refund of the unused Runes otherwise.
- Passes: within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase, a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
Failed Readings require no request, as the Runes are reinstated automatically. Runes from gift cards already redeemed and bonus Runes are not refundable.
13.2Procedure
Requests must be sent to soporte@soniaoracle.com stating the Account email and the date of the transaction. Refunds will be made through the original payment method within fourteen (14) calendar days of acceptance.
13.3Consumer rights
Where the law of the User’s country of residence grants a right of withdrawal or cancellation for distance or electronic purchases, or any other non-waivable consumer right, this clause applies without prejudice to that right and in no way limits it.
13.4Chargebacks
The User is asked to contact the Provider to resolve any issue before initiating a chargeback with their bank. While a chargeback for possible fraud is being investigated, the Provider may temporarily suspend the affected Account.
14.AI-generated content
Readings combine calculations performed by the Service (astronomical positions, numerological values, hexagrams and card draws) with third-party artificial intelligence models that write the interpretation in accordance with the Reading System. The User is informed that they are at all times interacting with an automated system and not with a natural person.
Artificial intelligence systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate results. The User should assess Readings critically and may report to the Provider any content they consider inappropriate.
In order to personalise Readings, the Service retains the context of the User’s previous consultations (relevant people, topics and events), as set out in the Privacy policy.
Readings do not constitute automated individual decisions producing legal effects concerning the User or similarly significantly affecting them.
15.Intellectual property and trade secrets
15.1Ownership
All intellectual and industrial property rights in the Platform, its source code, design, structure, texts, images, illustrations, databases and distinctive signs, including the "Sonia Oracle" brand, belong to the Provider or its licensors.
15.2Reading System
The Reading System is an original work of its creator and a proprietary development of the Provider, protected by intellectual property law: the catalogue of tarot spreads with their names, positions and meanings; the interpretations of cards and combinations; the method that guides each consultation; the instructions under which the artificial intelligence systems operate; the character of Sonia; and the selection, arrangement and organisation of all of the above. Its reproduction, extraction, transformation, distribution or public communication, in whole or in part, and its use to develop similar services, are prohibited without the Provider’s prior written authorisation.
The symbolic traditions themselves (tarot, astrology, numerology, the I Ching) are part of the common cultural heritage and cannot be appropriated. Protection extends to the specific expression, selection, arrangement and application developed by the Provider.
15.3Trade secrets and confidentiality
The methods, processes, instructions, interpretation criteria, technical configurations and other non-public elements of the Service and the Reading System constitute confidential information and trade secrets of the Provider, protected by applicable law, including the Florida Uniform Trade Secrets Act and the US Defend Trade Secrets Act. The Provider does not disclose the technical composition of the Service, and the User undertakes not to attempt to obtain, infer or disclose it by any means.
15.4Licence to use
The Provider grants the User a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service and their Readings for private, non-commercial purposes. The User may save, print and share their Readings in a personal capacity, but may not sell them, exploit them as their own service or use them to develop or train artificial intelligence systems or competing services.
15.5Protective measures
The Provider may apply technical measures to detect and prevent copying, automated extraction and misuse of the Service, and circumventing or disabling them is prohibited. In the event of any infringement, the Provider may suspend or terminate the Account and take the appropriate legal action, including seeking injunctive relief before the competent courts.
15.6Complaints
Anyone who considers that content on the Platform infringes their rights may notify legal@soniaoracle.com, identifying the work and the allegedly infringing content, for review and, where appropriate, removal.
16.User Content
The User retains ownership of User Content and authorises the Provider to store it, process it and disclose it to its providers, including artificial intelligence providers, for the sole purpose of providing the Service, ensuring its security and complying with legal obligations. This authorisation ends upon deletion of the content or the Account, except for anything the Provider is legally required to retain.
The User shall hold the Provider harmless against any third-party claim arising from adding that party’s data to the Service in breach of the Reference profiles clause.
17.Rules of use and prohibited conduct
The User undertakes to use the Service diligently and lawfully and, in particular, not to:
- Use it for unlawful purposes or to harass, threaten, deceive or harm third parties.
- Use reference profiles to monitor, profile or control other people without their knowledge, or add third-party data that is not permitted.
- Impersonate another person, use other people’s Accounts or allow others to use their own.
- Attempt to extract the internal instructions of the artificial intelligence systems, the spread catalogue or any other part of the Reading System, or induce those systems to circumvent their limitations.
- Use the Service, its Readings or its outputs to develop, train, benchmark or improve competing products or services, including artificial intelligence systems.
- Systematically collect Readings, texts or responses in order to reproduce or imitate the Reading System.
- Access the Service through robots, scripts or other unauthorised automated means, bulk-extract content (scraping), decompile or reverse engineer the Service, except where permitted by law.
- Copy or imitate the design, structure, texts or presentation of the Platform.
- Resell Readings, Runes or access to the Service, or use it to provide reading services to third parties on a commercial basis.
- Access the Service from outside the Territory while concealing their location.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service, circumvent its technical protection measures or investigate vulnerabilities other than in accordance with the Security policy.
- Generate content that sexualises minors, incites hatred or violence or promotes self-harm.
Breach of this clause entitles the Provider to warn the User, restrict features or suspend or terminate the Account, in proportion to the seriousness of the breach. Unless there is a risk or legal impediment, the Provider will inform the User of the reason for the measure and give them the opportunity to respond.
18.Information security and confidentiality
The Provider applies reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the User’s information, described in the Security policy. They include:
- Encryption in transit of all communications using TLS.
- Encryption at rest of stored information using the AES-256 standard.
- Passwords protected with salted cryptographic hash algorithms; the Provider does not know and cannot recover the User’s password.
- Optional additional verification at sign-in, alerts for every new sign-in and a sign-in history.
- Restricted access to data, limited to authorised personnel bound by confidentiality.
19.Territorial availability
19.1Territory

19.2Reasons for the exclusions
Outside the Territory, availability is limited by international sanctions, by the lack of service of payment and artificial intelligence providers in certain countries and by laws that criminalise the practice of fortune-telling or sorcery, as in Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates (Article 366 of Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021).
19.3Sanctions and export controls
The Service is not provided to persons or entities on sanctions lists, such as the SDN list of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), nor in territories subject to comprehensive sanctions. The User represents that they reside in the Territory and do not appear on such lists, and undertakes not to access the Service while concealing their location by means of virtual private networks or otherwise.
19.4Travel
The User may access their Account during temporary stays outside the Territory, except in territories subject to sanctions or where the Provider’s providers do not operate.
Breach of this clause entitles the Provider to terminate the Account, in which case it will refund unused Runes to the extent permitted by sanctions regulations. The Territory may be extended or changed; the Territory in force is the one published in this clause.
19.5Specific regulation
- United States. The Service is provided for entertainment and reflection, without any promise of predictions or outcomes, and in compliance with federal and state consumer protection rules.
- Canada. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial consumer protection law apply.
- Brazil. The General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the Consumer Protection Code apply; the Provider may require reliable age verification mechanisms.
- Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. Their respective personal data protection and consumer protection laws apply, as set out in the Privacy policy.
20.Technical availability and changes to the Service
The Provider will use reasonable means to keep the Service available and operational, without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, security reasons or causes beyond the Provider’s control.
The Provider may improve, modify or withdraw features. If a paid feature that has been paid for and not used is withdrawn, the Provider will refund the corresponding amount.
21.Third-party services and links
The Platform integrates third-party services, such as Stripe’s checkout page or Google sign-in, and may contain links to external sites. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, for whose content and operation the Provider is not responsible, without prejudice to its duty to select providers offering adequate guarantees.
22.Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
22.1Disclaimer of warranties
Readings are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider does not warrant their accuracy, their fulfilment or their fitness for any particular purpose.
22.2Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Provider shall not be liable for decisions the User makes based on a Reading, or for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of opportunity or loss of data.
- The Provider’s total aggregate liability to the User for any claim relating to the Service shall be limited to the amount paid by the User in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
22.3Liability that cannot be limited
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, in particular liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, death, personal injury or damage to health, or the rights granted to Consumers by mandatory law. If the law of the User’s country of residence does not allow any of the above limitations, it shall not apply to them to that extent.
23.Indemnity
A User acting in the course of a business or profession shall indemnify and hold the Provider harmless against any claims, penalties, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from a breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the Service or infringement of third-party rights. In respect of Consumers, this clause applies only to the extent permitted by consumer law.
24.Term, suspension and termination
24.1Term
These Terms are of indefinite duration and apply for as long as the User uses the Service.
24.2Termination by the User
The User may request deletion of their Account at any time from Settings. Deletion is scheduled with a grace period of seven (7) days, during which the User may revoke the request; once that period has elapsed, the Account, reference profiles and associated data are deleted in accordance with the Privacy policy. Users who sign in exclusively with Google and have no password may request it at soporte@soniaoracle.com from their Account email address.
24.3Suspension and termination by the Provider
The Provider may suspend or terminate the Account in the event of a serious breach of these Terms, at the request of the law or a competent authority, or upon discontinuation of the Service. Except in urgent cases or where legally prevented, the Provider will give reasonable notice and, where termination is not due to a breach by the User, refund the part of the price corresponding to services not used.
24.4Survival
Clauses which by their nature should survive termination, in particular those relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, shall remain in force.
25.Amendments to the Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or the law. The date of the version in force appears at the top of the document. Material amendments will be notified to the User by email or through the Service at least thirty (30) days before they take effect, unless legal or security reasons require a shorter period.
If the User does not accept the new version, they may terminate the relationship before it takes effect and request a refund of unused Runes. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new version.
26.Electronic communications and notices
The User agrees that communications relating to the Service may be made electronically: by email to the address associated with their Account or by notices within the Platform. Notices to the Provider must be sent to legal@soniaoracle.com. Communications are deemed received when sent to the address provided.
27.Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida (United States of America) and applicable US federal law, without regard to their conflict of laws rules.
The parties will seek to resolve any dispute amicably. The User may send their complaint to soporte@soniaoracle.com, and the Provider undertakes to respond in good faith within thirty (30) days.
Failing agreement, disputes shall be submitted to the competent state and federal courts of the State of Florida. Where the User is a Consumer, they shall in all cases retain the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of their domicile and before the competent consumer protection bodies.
28.General provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the documents they refer to, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the Service.
- Severability. If any clause is held void or unenforceable, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Failure by the Provider to exercise a right shall not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. The User may not assign their contractual position. The Provider may assign it to a third party that continues to provide the Service, after notice and without diminishing the User’s rights.
- Force majeure. Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control.
- Language. These Terms are published in Spanish and English. In the event of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails, unless the law of the User’s country of residence provides otherwise.
- Headings. Clause headings are for guidance only.
